Victoria celebrates eleven wins at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards

22 March 2023

A huge congratulations to the Mornington Peninsula businesses that represented our region at the 2022 Australian Tourism Awards last week!

This recognition is testament to the commitment and passion on display by Peninsula businesses. We extend our sincere congratulations to them and all those that make up our visitor economy!

Geelong Gallery took out Gold in the Cultural Tourism category, while The Woods Ocean Grove won Gold in Self Contained Accommodation, ‘Viva Bendigo’ by City of Greater Bendigo won Gold in Tourism Marketing & Campaigns and Urban Camp Melbourne received Gold in 3-3.5 Star Accommodation.

These awards recognise and celebrate Victoria’s visitor economy and reflect the appreciation and demand for travelling in our own backyard that has been realised in this post-pandemic world.

Victoria took home 11 Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards across the 25 award categories. For some of these winners, it was their first year entering the Victorian Tourism Awards, so it’s a huge achievement to then go on to win an award at the national level.

Victoria’s winners were:

Gold

Silver

Bronze

Nominations for the 2023 Victorian Tourism Awards are now open.
