Join the Sustainable Food Economy and Regenerative Agriculture Taskforce

The Shire is now calling for Expressions of Interest from farmers, food producers and members of the regions agrifood economy to join the Food Economy and Agroecology Taskforce. Currently 1-2 positions are available on the Taskforce, with a priority on farmers or local food businesses. Joining the Taskforce will put you at the heart of decision making, advocacy and project implementation as we pursue a more agroecological future for our farming, food and beverage sector.

Before submitting an EOI please:

• Read the Terms of Reference
• Review the Food Economy and Agroecology Strategy

• Demonstrated business ties to the agriculture, beverage and food economy of the Mornington Peninsula
• Qualifications, skills and experience relevant to the five pillars of the Strategy
• Ability to represent a diversity of views and interests relevant to the Agrifood economy
• Commitment to fulfill the expected time requirements for a minimum of 1 year from appointment
• Knowledge of the key drivers and challenges facing the Mornington Peninsula’s Agriculture, Food and Beverage sector
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with government, industry and businesses towards a shared vision
• Representation of minority groups and disadvantaged communities will be encouraged
