Mornington Peninsula Shire has announced the development of a new draft Foreshore Camping Strategy, inviting community members to share their feedback on accommodation options, accessibility and enhancements
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring fair and equitable access to our beloved foreshore camping areas, Mornington Peninsula Shire is excited to announce the development of a new draft Foreshore Camping Strategy.
This Strategy aims to provide a diverse range of accommodation, ensure financial sustainability while supporting our local economy, tourism, and environmental conservation.
From now until 29 August, we’re inviting community members to participate in a first round consultation where you can share your general thoughts and vision for the future of foreshore camping.
We want to know your thoughts on preferred accommodation options and payment options, ways to make camping more inclusive and accessible, and suggestions for enhancing the camping experience.
Your feedback will play a crucial role in informing the draft Foreshore Camping Strategy, helping us understand your preferences and expectations.
We believe it’s time for a refresh, and we are keen to hear from you!
