Connecting your business to tourism

Looking to become part of the thriving tourism industry community here on the Mornington Peninsula? Have a new idea, a passion you would like to bring to life? We are here to help. Let us connect you to the right information, organisations and networks to support the lifecycle of your new business.

The Mornington Peninsula has a dynamic tourism industry – attractions, accommodation, tour operators, cafes restaurants and farmgates – to name just a few. With visitation to the Mornington Peninsula increasing (8.5mil in 2019), tourism is well established as a key local economic driver. To assist this valuable sector the Shire has a dedicated tourism team based at the Mornington Peninsula Visitor Information Centre in Dromana to assist your tourism business.

Our Tourism team can help you promote your business to visitors and locals alike – and it’s free!

Be on display

Local tourism businesses are able to showcase their business with a brochure on display, or have their business details included in one of the many Tourism Mini Guides they produce. Tourism events are also featured as part of the display materials with a dedicated space to showcase events.

Connect to locals

Submit updates and news items to be included in the tourism volunteer newsletter that helps them stay up to date with the latest happenings – and promote them to visitors.

Be part of our Famils and Workshops program

Connect with us to coordinate a visit from our team to ensure they know and understand what your business offers visitors. We also run workshops where you can present and showcase your tourism business to our team.

Using the online channel Bookeasy, our team can help your business sell your inventory online.

Suitable for accommodation, tours, attractions and tickets, the Bookeasy channel can link into existing channel manager platforms, or be a stand a alone option for those just starting out.

There are no sign up or annual fees, just a small commission charged on sales. We are also on hand to help set your business up, train you to manage your inventory, and support your business on its journey.   Talk to our team to find out more.
