Key employment contacts

There are a number of organisations that can help connect businesses with potential employees. Success comes from relationships established and fostered over time. Make the time to connect with different organisations and discover how you can work together.

Keeping locals local

To be truly successful employers need to consider career pathways within their organisation, being open to tailoring employment opportunities to individuals, and embracing diversity.

Local people employed locally are more connected to the community. They spend their wages locally, they do their weekly shop locally, support local activities, volunteer on local committees. In fact, the value to the local community goes well beyond the dollar value of the wages earnt.

The Frankston Mornington Peninsula LLEN aims to improve education, training & employment outcomes for our local young people, including those who face challenges, barriers, or disadvantage.

They do this through collaboration and strategic partnerships with community, education, and industry sectors to deliver sustainable, place-based outcomes in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region.

This can take the form of industry expos, student site visits to businesses, work experience programs, advertising jobs, connecting businesses to schools, linking training institutions (like Chisholm TAFE) to business and students, working with careers advisors at schools, facilitating transport to TAFE for students and more.
