Large Energy User Electrification Support Program

12 June 2024

The Large Energy User Electrification Support Program helps Victorian businesses reduce energy use, emissions, and costs by funding electrification feasibility studies for high gas-using facilities.

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) has a new program to help large businesses use electricity instead of gas. This program, called the Large Energy User Electrification Support Program, aims to lower energy use, cut emissions, reduce energy costs, and strengthen industry skills. Sustainability Victoria will run the program for the Victorian Government.

The program offers funding for experts to conduct feasibility studies on electrification for eligible Victorian businesses that use between 10 and 100 terajoules of gas per year.

Applicatins will close on 30 September 2024, unless funding is exhausted earlier.
