Mornington Peninsula Shire Council is keen to assist the local community, businesses, cultural, sport or recreation groups and volunteers in becoming Child Safe and strengthening their capacity to provide a safe and empowering environment for all children and young people.

How local business can help keep children safe from harm

We all have an obligation to do the best we can to keep children safe from harm and abuse.

Mornington Peninsula Shire Council is keen to assist the local community, businesses, cultural, sport or recreation groups and volunteers in becoming Child Safe and strengthening their capacity to provide a safe and empowering environment for all children and young people.

The Shire’s Child Safety Coordinator will be speaking at various community information sessions to help local businesses and community members understand their obligations to keep children safe from harm and abuse.

These sessions will help people understand our municipalities obligations to keep children safe from harm and abuse.  They are open to anyone that has or may have contact with children and young people within the community.

Admission is free and locations vary from Hastings, Mornington and Rosebud.
